Internet poker has become globally famous lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier saying "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different gamblers receive five cards each. After you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to either make a call bet or accede. The call wager’s value is equal to your beginning bet, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your wager goes immediately to the bank. After the wager is the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a sum equal to the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The dealer pony’s up money equal to your ante and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
