Web poker has become world famous lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years many types on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house rather than each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer broadcasting "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the house and of course all of the different gamblers are given five cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you have to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantaneously to the casino. After the bet is the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, with a figure on par with the initial wager. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The house pays chips equal to your initial bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
