Web poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the dealer declares "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other gamblers are given 5 cards each. After you have observed your hand and the casino’s first card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original bet, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your bet goes instantly to the bank. After the bet comes the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with an amount on par with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The bank pays cash equal to your initial bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
