Omaha Hi-Low: Basic Overview

Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha 8 or better) is often times seen as one of the most difficult but favored poker games. It is a game that, even more than regular Omaha poker, aims for action from all levels of players. This is the primary reason why a once obscure game, has grown in popularity so quickly.
Omaha hi lo starts like a normal game of Omaha. 4 cards are handed out to each player. A sequence of betting ensues in which gamblers can wager, check, or fold. Three cards are given out, this is referred to as the flop. A further round of betting happens. After all the players have in turn called or folded, an additional card is flipped on the turn. an additional sequence of wagering ensues and then the river card is flipped. The players must attempt to make the best high and low 5 card hands using the board and hole cards.
This is where many players get flustered. Contrasted to Texas Holdem, where the board can be every player’s hand, in Omaha hi/low the player has to use precisely three cards from the board, and precisely 2 cards from their hand. No more, no less. Contrary to regular Omaha, there are two ways a pot might be won: the "high hand" or the "low hand."
A high hand is exactly what it sounds like. It is the strongest possible hand out of every player’s, it doesn’t matter if it is a straight, flush, full house. It is the identical approach in nearly every poker game.
A low hand is more complex, but certainly opens up the play. When figuring out a low hand, straights and flushes don’t count. the lowest hand is the weakest hand that can be put together, with the lowest being A-2-3-4-5. The low hand takes half of the pot, as just like the high hand. When there is no lower hand presented, the high hand takes the complete pot.
